In-Person Workshops
Registration for each in-person workshop begins when people who have signed up to be on the Grassroots Workshops mailing list are sent an email with a pre-sale link to register for the workshop one week ahead of the general public. The next week, approximately 8 weeks before the workshop begins, you can go to that workshop’s page and look for the green “Register” button.  Clicking on that button will take you through the registration and checkout process.

Online Workshops
Registration for each online workshop begins approximately two weeks before the workshop begins. At that time, you can go to that workshop’s page and look for the green “Register” button.  Clicking on that button will take you through the registration and checkout process.

All in-person workshops have a 66-person maximum capacity and most workshops fill up.  As a result, we require all attendees to register online because if they come to the workshop to register in person, they may find out that there is no space.

In-Person Workshops
Registered attendees who wish to cancel their registration must email their request to [email protected] at least 14 days before the event to receive a full refund.  Please include the following information in your email:

  • Attendee’s name
  • Attendee’s email address
  • Order number

 

Unfortunately, registrations cancelled within 14 days of the event cannot be refunded.

 

Substitutions are allowed.  To make a substitution, please email [email protected] with the following information in your email:

  • Original attendee’s name
  • Original attendee’s email address
  • Substitute attendee’s name
  • Substitute attendee’s email address
  • Order number

 

Online Workshops

Registered participants who wish to cancel their registration must email their request to [email protected] before the workshop begins to receive a full refund.  Please include the following information in your email:

  • Participant’s name
  • Participant’s email address
  • Order number

 

If you want to cancel a registration after the workshop begins, you must demonstrate that you have completed all parts of the workshop and have not learned anything you can implement.  If you meet those requirements, email [email protected] and you will receive a full refund.

To register using a purchase order, add a workshop to your cart and continue the checkout process.  Then on the payment screen, choose the “Purchase Order” option and complete the registration.  You should receive an email soon after with your registration information.  Once you receive that information, forward it to [email protected] along with your purchase order number.

Workshops generally begin at 8 am and end at 3 pm.  There is usually a one-hour lunch and two short breaks.

Please confirm the start and end times for your specific workshop to be certain.

Yes.  Grassroots Workshops has partnered with Brandman University, part of the Chapman University System, to provide up to three Graduate Level Professional Development Credits for all workshops. You must register for EDIU 9007, Digging Deeper: Applying Learning Strategies.

Please check with your school or district to determine whether these credits are accepted.  Note that these credits requires additional fees and follow-up assignments.

Attendees that are registered to attend an in-person workshop that is canceled due to inclement weather or natural disaster will receive a full refund of their registration.  Travel related expenses will not be reimbursed.

Due to copyright concerns, events may not be recorded or transmitted on audio or video.

Yes.  To get the group discount at the Hilton Garden Inn Anaheim/Garden Grove (where the workshop will take place), contact Carol at 714.620.2138 and say you want the “small meetings rate.”  That should bring the rate down to $121 per night.
